My design philosophy…
I’m a human that likes technology to work for us, not the other way around. I’ve made a career of it. In a past life, I presumed that when I couldn’t figure out how to use a digital tool or navigate a mystifying service experience, it was probably something I did wrong. Enter: human-centered design. What surfaced as a mighty revelation at the time is quite obvious now; good (and bad) design is stitched into the fabric of nearly every waking second of our lives. I’ve modeled this revelation into my craft and passion for helping real people with products, services, and experiences that are truly made for them and their needs, so that no one like me has to “work” as a consequence of sub-optimal design.
My work and skillset spans the end to end design process, including user discovery and research, service design, and digital product creation. With human-centered design at my core, I always advocate for the end user and regularly apply lenses of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility to my work.
